This Privacy Policy explains how NSTAR Gym ("we", "us", or "NSTAR") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the NSTAR Gym mobile app (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

We collect the following information so we can run your membership and the App's features:

• Account details: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and password.
• Profile and health info you provide: emergency contact details, relevant medical or injury notes you choose to share with staff, and waiver acknowledgments.
• Membership and booking activity: class reservations, waitlist status, personal training bookings, attendance, and class pass usage.
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers. We retain limited billing metadata (e.g., last 4 digits, subscription status, invoices).
• Device and notification data: push notification tokens and basic device info needed to deliver alerts about your bookings.
• Support communications: messages you send us when you contact support.

How we use information

• To create and manage your account and membership.
• To process class and personal training bookings, waitlists, cancellations, and class passes.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
• To send booking confirmations, schedule changes, and other transactional notifications.
• To keep emergency contact and medical notes available to authorized studio staff for your safety during sessions.
• To improve the App, troubleshoot issues, and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers that help us run the App, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), and Expo / Apple Push Notification service (notifications).
• Authorized studio staff and coaches who need access to your bookings, attendance, waivers, and emergency information to provide services.
• Authorities or other parties when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the safety of our members or staff.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the App and meet legal, accounting, and safety obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see below).

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections, access controls, and a managed database provider — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

• Access and update: review and edit your profile, emergency contact, and membership details inside the App.
• Notifications: control push notifications in your device's settings.
• Account deletion: see our account deletion page or email nstardancestudios@gmail.com from the address on your account. We will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records (e.g., billing history, signed waivers).

Children

The App is intended for users 16 and older. Minors may only use the App with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for any information provided on the minor's behalf.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
